Swift sedan, 1991
An original-looking exterior. A comfortable daily driver. A visibly modern cabin.
The first METHOD study starts with a 1991 Suzuki Swift sedan. This is a concept brief: the proposed engineering and design work has not been completed.
The character to preserve
Keep the original appearance, with subtle changes to wheels and stance. The wheel direction is a contemporary dark multi-spoke design with machined silver faces. The exact wheel, diameter and fitment are still to be chosen. The car should remain familiar from the street.
The driving brief
Comfortable daily use comes first, with discreet performance. The engine and suspension are intended for redesign; the engine choice, suspension layout, supporting systems and final specification are still open.
A modern cabin
The interior should look visibly modern. Seating, instruments, controls and materials will be explored as one design. No cabin layout or equipment specification has been agreed yet.
A record of the actual car
Photography will follow when the car is ready. Until then, this page records the agreed intentions and the decisions still to be made.
What comes next
Confirm the exact vehicle and its condition, then develop the engine, suspension and interior brief in more detail. Document proposed choices and their reasons before presenting them as settled engineering.
